Trek Focuses on Younger E-Bike Buyers with New Super Commuter
HARDERWIJK, the Netherlands – E-Bikes have grown into being the biggest money-maker for sporty brand Trek in the Benelux. About 50% of the total turnover is made with electric bicycles and within the growing category the company notices a trend towards younger buyers. To meet their taste Trek Benelux developed the all new Super Commuter.
The Super Commuter comes in 2017 in a 25km/h version as well as a 45 km/h speed e-bike. It is designed like a Mountainbike with a newly developed sloping frame that features a nicely integrated motor and battery.
The Super Commuter doesn’t have a carrier but features an ingenious system to carry some luggage. The Super Commuter has been developed entirely by Trek Benelux and will arrive in spring 2017. Trek will fit all its 2017 e-bikes with Bosch and Shimano STEPS drive systems.
