ROTHENBURG, Germany - To increase competitiveness and optimise the workflow of its European production, bicycle component manufacturer Büchel GmbH has invested in state-of-the-art welding machinery. The amount of the investment remains undisclosed.

比利時，布魯塞爾（Brussels）－歐洲議會（European Parliament）運輸與旅遊委員會（簡稱TRAN）正督促歐洲執委會（European Commission）和其成員國支持「歐洲製造」的自行車與零件生產。TRAN於上週二通過一項決議，呼籲制定歐盟自行車策略（EU Cycling Strategy）。該策略應包含所有面向，從為使用者提供更安全的基礎設施到成為更強大、更有競爭力的自行車產業都是。

瑞士，蘇黎世（ZURICH）－運動與自行車產業的高層主管表示，成本上升、更大規模的經濟衰退威脅近在眼前、消費者信心下滑、營運挑戰不斷等現象勢必帶來逆風衝擊。此同為世界體育用品工會聯盟（簡稱WFSGI）及McKinsey最新年度報告中的主要結論之一。
