    Shimano sales slow down, but still firm

    OSAKA, Japan - In its latest financial report, Shimano reports that market inventories of completed bicycles, especially the high-end bicycles remained at a low level, as strong demand continued.     Shimano reports 76.3% Q1 sales rise in bicycle division

    OSAKA, Japan - Amid new waves of COVID-19 infections, global demand for bicycles has remained at a high level since last year. As a result, Shimano has reported that Q1 net sales in its Bicycle Components division increased 76.3% from the same period of the previous year to 103,757 million yen (€791 million), and operating income increased 169.3% to 27,730 million yen (€211 million).

    Dorel reports: supply chain constraints limited 2020 results

    Dorel Q1: Surge in bike sales boosts growth in sports division

    MONTREAL, Canada - Dorel Industries Inc., owner of bicycle brands including Schwinn, Mongoose and Cannondale has reported its Q1 results for 2020. The financial statement shows that coronavirus has interrupted an otherwise solid start to the year.     Corona pandemic drives down Shimano's sales

    OSAKA, Japan - In its financial statement of the first quarter of 2020 the Shimano Group reports a good start of the year in Europe and North America supported by good weather. From mid-March, turnover declined sharply and as a result, net sales from in the bicycle category decreased 15.4% from the same period of the previous year to JPY 58,868 million (507m euro).
