Both companies see the long term commitment as beneficial for their business.

GIVISIEZ, Switzerland - After Scott Sports Group majority owner Youngone Corporation dismissed longstanding CEO Beat Zaugg with immediate effect at the end of March they appointed investment banker Juwon Kim as his successor. This was the starting point for a power struggle between longtime industry expert Zaugg and Youngone. Now the dust seems to have settled with the appointment of a CEO duo.

MAGSTADT, Germany - At the beginning of May, Merida & Centurion Germany GmbH (MCG) announced that Jürgen Falke, the long-standing CEO and co-founder of Merida R&D Center GmbH had left the company on 30 April for health reasons. After a short, serious illness and far too early 61year old Jürgen Falke passed away on 13 June.

KOPRIVNICE, Czech Republic - Bicycle manufacturer Bike Fun International (BFI) has appointed René Gasser as its new CEO. He will take over the position on 1 April, although he has been working for BFI since 2009.

ANNECY, France - There is a new face at the helm of French component manufacturer Mavic. Having worked with Jean-Michel Bourrelier for more than five months, Alberto Morgando officially took over the position of managing director on 20 February.

SCHIPHOL, the Netherlands - The former Yamaha Europe Vice-President, Olivier Prévost succeeds Eric de Seynes as President and CEO of Yamaha Europe as of 1 January. Eric de Seynes joins the company's Supervisory Board as Chairman.

ZEIST, the Netherlands - In recent years, researchers and scientists have been working tirelessly to develop new battery cell technologies that can meet the energy demands of the future while also being cost-effective and environmentally friendly. LFP (LiFePO4) batteries are already mainstream with EV's and have a roughly double cycle life, compared to NMC batteries. Meanwhile, Na-ion batteries will further increase safety, temperature range and will be substantially cheaper.

LA FLECHE, France - E-bike manufacturer Neomouv is pushing forward to increase its market share in France, but also in some European countries like Belgium, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom. After a funding round raised €4 million in January to ensure its growth, the company has hired a new sales manager and developed its own motor, the Neoassist 2.

After CEO Jakob Luksch successfully restructured the brand over the past four years, his departure nevertheless raises questions.

PARIS, France - Gouach, a manufacturer of eco-designed e-bike batteries that can be repaired in less than 10 minutes, has raised €3.3 million in a new financing round. The funding will be used to market the battery to fleet operators and manufacturers in the micro-mobility sector and to reinforce their team of 15 people.
