KOPRIVNICE, Czech Republic - Bicycle manufacturer Bike Fun International (BFI) has appointed René Gasser as its new CEO. He will take over the position on 1 April, although he has been working for BFI since 2009.

ANNECY, France - There is a new face at the helm of French component manufacturer Mavic. Having worked with Jean-Michel Bourrelier for more than five months, Alberto Morgando officially took over the position of managing director on 20 February.

SCHIPHOL, the Netherlands - The former Yamaha Europe Vice-President, Olivier Prévost succeeds Eric de Seynes as President and CEO of Yamaha Europe as of 1 January. Eric de Seynes joins the company's Supervisory Board as Chairman.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - In what it calls "a strategic move to further strengthen its governance", e-bike brand Cowboy has appointed two senior industry figures to its leadership team. Harpreet Singh Rai, former CEO of health tech wearables company Oura, will now serve as a board member and Kevin Cornils, former COO at Peloton joins as strategic advisor.

LA FLECHE, France - E-bike manufacturer Neomouv is pushing forward to increase its market share in France, but also in some European countries like Belgium, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom. PARIS, France - Gouach, a manufacturer of eco-designed e-bike batteries that can be repaired in less than 10 minutes, has raised €3.3 million in a new financing round. The funding will be used to market the battery to fleet operators and manufacturers in the micro-mobility sector and to reinforce their team of 15 people.

SAN VENDEMIANO, Italy - After PM&Partners SGR entered as majority shareholder, CEO Massimo Fregonese took charge of Elastic Interface and the CyPad Group. Headquartered near Treviso in northeast Italy, the CyPad Group is a multinational company with offices and plants in Italy, Croatia and Mexico.

LUDHIANA, India - A promising career has been cut short with the passing of young Angad Singh Ahuja, Managing Director, Big Ben Group. He was aged 33. The company is India's largest producer of bicycle saddles and pedals, controlling almost 40% share of the domestic saddle market. 

NOTTINGHAM, United Kingdom - Following two and half years as Managing Director of Raleigh UK, Pippa Wibberley is moving on to a new position within the Accell Group as Global Managing Director of Accell Bike Parts GmbH. There, she will succeed Christoph Mannel.

From this place I would like to say goodbye to you. WILTON, USA - Cycling Sports Group, a division of Dorel Industries, announced today that Eugene Fierkens has been appointed General Manager, CSG Europe. Adriano Nascentes, the division's current General Manager, has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer for Dorel Juvenile Europe.

AMERSFOORT, the Netherlands - Former SRAM Europe General Manager Martin van Beek (58) was involved in a fatal accident last Sunday. Van Beek has been with SRAM from 1993 to 31 August 2008.
