The European bicycle market ended up in the inevitable correction phase after the corona related sales boom. It goes without saying that this situation was expected, the question was only, when? While 2022 sales are lower than 2021 throughout Europe's main markets, the e-bike continues to drive the market. What's happening? HOLZWICKEDE, Germany - Finnish bicycle component exporter, Herrmans Bike Components Ltd has established a new German subsidiary, Herrmans Bike Components GmbH. Having had a presence on the German market since 2007, the company calls it "a natural continuation and reinforcement of the company's long-term commitment and presence in Germany."

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - VanMoof, the Dutch bike-meets-smart-tech company, launched their next generation e-bikes this week at a significantly lower cost than previous launches. The bicycle manufacturer claims that taking control of the whole production process has allowed them to develop a high-tech range at a lower cost for consumers.

TREVIGLIO, Italy - The construction of Bianchi's new, 17,000 square meter production facility started in November. The company aims to step-up its assembly capacity from 250-300 bicycles today to 1,000-1,500 units. The new factory will also house a carbon frame facility.
