COPENHAGEN, Denmark - The Danish bicycle market has always been on its own sales path compared to other European countries. AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - The Dutch market saw a slight decrease of 6% from 833,366 units in 2022 to 804,101 units last year. Thanks to a higher average retail price the revenue was down only 3.7% from 2022 to €1.4 billion in 2023. PNOM PENH, Cambodia - The country's bicycle export to the EU was up by a huge 22% in 2015 and counted some 1.5 million units. The for years continued growth in export from the Kingdom of Cambodia has all to do with the fact that the country enjoys the GSP duty free export status that safes exporters the EU's 14% import duty. That status is now (again) in jeopardy.
