SIAULIAI, Lithuania - Baltik Vairas had been the single outpost of the bicycle industry in Lithuania and the other Baltic States for many years. Thanks to the modernisation of the company in the past decade it has now made the country one of the potential hot spots for the e-bike industry.

MILAN, Italy - The Italian bicycle market closed 2022 with a 10% drop in total sales compared to 2021, but on a positive note the sector's turnover has risen 52% since 2019. The growth of e-bike sales on the Italian market is showing no signs of stopping as the 4% rise in market share shows.

MONTEREY, USA - With the US lacking a well-attended Eurobike-like event, Sea Otter is now a must attend event of the North American cycling season for brands, industry leaders, top retailers, and the media. That the show has an international draw was confirmed by Sea Otter CEO, Frank Yohannan; "This year we had 125 brands from foreign markets in attendance, a record."

BRUSSELS, Belgium - A major hike in the average import price of e-bikes into the European Union, in combination with a double digit increase in the number of e-bikes shipped to Europe gave a remarkable push to the market value in 2022. Also, the average import price of mechanical bicycles to the EU soared last year.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - The ample availability of bicycles and e-bikes resulted in increased sales in Denmark in 2022, just like in many other EU countries. The January-August 2022 figures of supplies clearly show an upswing in the market, but don't give any indication of the market outlook.
