比利時，布魯塞爾-可能解除電動自行車之馬達動力限制的決議預料在2012年7月3日前不會有結果。一讀協議前的準備工作都已完成。根據歐洲零售商協會ETRA秘書長Annick Roetynck表示，此協定將確保歐洲理事會立即接受歐洲議會所作的決議。
