Nevertheless they had to diversify their production and downscale the annual output of frames, which still amounts to some 10,000 units.

REICHSHOF, Germany - The Bohle Group sees demand for its Schwalbe tyres grow year on year; in 2015 again with double-digit figures. It created the need for extra production capacity. For that the company, together with its Korean partner, started a new facility in Vietnam which is coming 'online' now.

TAIPEI, Taiwan - The latest statistics released by the Taiwan Bicycle Association (TBA) show that Taiwan's bicycle export increased by 10.04% in 2015. Total export value reached 1.74 billion euro, compared to 1.58 billion euro in 2014. Also Taiwan's bicycle parts export rose last year by 5.45%, with total value reaching just over 1 billion euro.

ATHENS, Greece - The cycling industry has not recovered from the harsh reality of the Greek economy, however the statistics show that the decline in sales is not as big as it was. The imports and exports data show that bicycles remain popular despite the economy, but the effects of the dramatic financial situation of the country are still clear and present.

HELSINKI, Finland - To grow its slow cycling business (-2% in 2015), Amer Sports Corporation has acquired ENVE Composites. Amer Sports reports that, "the US based company ENVE brings capabilities in carbon technology, and it offers operational scale and synergy benefits complementing our cycling category."
