NEW DELHI, India - Reliance Brands (RBL) which markets more than 50 international luxury brands in India, has forayed into bicycles with its own bicycle brand, Ralleyz. "Our plan is to create a bicycle brand here in India and take it to the world," explains Manu Sharma, group vice president (Business), RBL.

PARIS, France - Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the shortages of bikes and components, the French market has recorded a strong increase in 2021. In the French Bicycle Observatory published by the industry organisation Union Sport & Cycle the total market volume increase by 3.9% to 2,789,545 representing a value of €2.215 billion, an increase of 15.1%.

PARIS, France - The French e-cargo market has been growing for about three years. In 2021, sales in this category recorded the strongest increase with a volume of around 15,000 units. Besides the major international brands, also domestic brands, such as Douze Cycles and Kiffy have now established themselves in the market.

FREIRACHDORF, Germany - Customised bike specialist Müsing has hired two industry veterans to realign its corporate strategy. Ralf Barthel and Tanja Barthel have joined the team as CSO and COM.

WILTON, USA - Cannondale has announced a new long term global strategy and reorganisation to a unified structure. "Our aim is to accelerate the brand's profile in key categories and forge deeper connections with riders," said Cannondale MD Marco Kind. He also announced that Cannondale Europe general manager Eugene Fierkens will leave the organisation.

BERLIN, Germany - The Berlin-based e-bike division of German automotive supplier, Brose Antriebstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, has appointed a new managing director. On 1 August, Dr André Luhn took this position over from Dr Thomas Leicht, who will retire at the end of the year.
