PONTEDERA, Italy - The new Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy which has been established by the current Italian government, has approved a development contract submitted by the domestic two-wheeler giant Piaggio Group. The contract includes an investment plan of around €112 million for the expansion of production at the Piaggio plant in Pontedera in the province of Pisa, Italy.

France is rapidly adopting e-bike trends that we have been seeing in other European countries for some time. Production of e-bikes in France (52%) now officially exceeds regular bike production. The growth is especially noticeable in the higher market segment and in the booming e-cargo bike market. It's there that A&C Solutions' account manager Mathys Huvelin is supporting manufacturers with made-to-measure Higo connectors and cable harnesses.

In recent years, e-bike manufacturers faced a tradeoff: whether to adopt powerful yet heavy motors or lightweight and low-performing ones. Until now, these two options were considered mutually exclusive, however, a new drive unit could change the game.
