根據預測，歐洲的電池市場價值從2025年開始可能達逾2500億歐元。若要滿足這需求，歐洲將會需要10到20座超級電池工廠(Giga-factories)來生產。這會需要相當的投資及進展，對產業來說是個重大挑戰，歐盟勢必得團結一同面對 。因此歐委會持續呼籲業界動起來，建起政治及經濟架構以達成這個目標。
台灣進口至歐盟電動自行車數量成長快速
台灣，台北－大規模轉型的跡象似乎已浮現？台灣是否會取代中國成為歐洲最大的電動自行車供應國？就像台灣自行車出口因為受到中國製的常規自行車被徵收48.5%反傾銷稅而被推動一樣？2017及2018年前四個月的數據資料顯示，從台灣進口至歐盟的電動自行車數量成長相當快速。
