    Accell Group suspends Babboe cargo bike sales as quality issues surface

    HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands - Babboe will stop selling its cargo bikes until further notice. The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority has received numerous reports of frame breakage while cycling. When asked, "the bicycle manufacturer couldn't sufficiently demonstrate that certain models do not pose any safety risks."

    DEVENTER, the Netherlands - Sports equipment, including bicycles and bicycle parts, is high on the list of most frequent product recalls. "Recently, when looking for a company that could support us by taking over the entire recall management, I could not find a suitable nor affordable company.     HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands - Last September Sparta issued a recall for a specific ladies frame used in its ION RX, RX+ en RXS+ models produced between July 2011 and 2014. Due to a recent accident caused by a breaking frame the Accell Group subsidiary has now decided to accelerate the replacement of the frames of the named models.
