WELS, Austria - Pierer Mobility AG, the owner of bicycle and e-bike brands Husqvarna, GasGas and Felt has announced that it will apply for debtor-in-possession restructuring proceedings for its motorcycle subsidiary KTM AG on Friday. KTM AG's financing requirements are "currently in the high three-digit million euro range."

VIENNA, Austria - After a three-month restructuring process a new investor has secured the successful restart of Austrian custom-bike builder, Simplon. SOL Capital Management GmbH announced an undisclosed capital injection by one of its funds securing the future of the bike manufacturer.

The XS system was created to simplify the integration process for bike manufacturers and features downsized components that reduce its environmental impact.

ROMILLY SUR SEINE, France - The operation of Cycleurope Group and Grimaldi Industri AB in France will be taken-over by the Rebirth Holding SAS as of 7 October. In a short announcement Cycleurope reports the transfer of 100% ownership to Rebirth Holding SAS for an undisclosed amount.

WELS, Austria - As a result of the market circumstances for e-bikes, bicycles and motorbikes, Pierer Mobility will fall short of expectations in terms of revenue and earnings, as well as with regard to the reduction in working capital and net debt in the current financial year. Therefore, the company has revoked its guidance for the 2024 financial year.

ZF presented its new 48-volt drive system for e-bikes for the first time at Eurobike 2024. At the heart of this system is the compact, powerful mid-motor: ZF CentriX. The ZF e-motor, featuring a strain wave gear and external rotor, delivers a powerful torque of 90 Newton meters, all within the installation space typically reserved for light-assist motors. The motor uses magnetic force instead of mechanical force to offer maximum efficiency of 90%. The prototype displayed is being targeted for mass production in Q2 2025.
