    KwikFit eyes gap in European e-bike and cargobike servicing market

    AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - KwikFit has entered into e-bike servicing. In addition to cars, electric bicycles and cargobikes are now also maintained and serviced from four city centre locations in the Netherlands. The company's ambitions don't stop there, noticing a potential gap in the market, the company is eyeing a complete national network followed by an international roll-out of the concept, a move enthusiastically supported by the UK head office and the Japanese shareholder.

    Vredestein Cargo: new tyres for last-mile delivery

    Apollo Tyres is to launch its first dedicated micro-mobility tyre, the Vredestein Cargo. Developed specifically for electrically assisted cargo bikes used for urban deliveries, the new tyre will make its debut at Eurobike 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany. The new tyre will be available in one size, with a 20-inch (508mm) diameter and 2.2-inch (55 mm) width. Additional sizes will be announced in 2023.

    Budget e-bike brakes fail in Dutch test

    THE HAGUE, the Netherlands - In a budget e-bike test of the Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB) in the Netherlands, the brakes turned out to be the weakest part of the e-bikes.
