    TAIPEI, Taiwan - The unpredictability of the supply chain results in very mixed financial results by Taiwan's major bicycle manufacturers, Giant Manufacturing Company and Merida Industry. While Giant reported a strong growth in sales since the start of the year, Merida attributed a slight decline in sales to a high comparison base.
