FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – In their search for the most optimum traffic regulation, Eurobike has once again changed its opening hours. This year Eurobike will open its doors to trade visitors half an hour earlier at 8:30 a.m. and close at 6:30 p.m., effectively increasing the amount of time for the trade show.
As earlier announced, Eurobike will open on new days of the week: This year it will already start on Wednesday, 2 September for trade visitors and will end on Open House Day, Saturday, 5 September, with opening hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Traffic congestion has been the major problem for Eurobike in past years. Especially on opening day cars line up for kilometres in order to get to the fair ground in time. Currently construction is already in full swing on the new trade north show entrance and work will soon begin on the expansion of the south entrance to four lanes plus an extra wide shoulder.
Eurobike confirmed us that these construction works will not cause any trouble to get to the show this year. During the show days all works will be shut down temporarily and all roads will be cleared to assure a free flow of traffic.
All of these projects are scheduled to be open for traffic by the summer of 2010. This year visitors can also use the newly built east entrance with its new foyer, conference centre and additional space at the east open-air grounds.
For this year, Eurobike is again reporting more exhibitors than last year. For the 2009 edition some 812 companies have enlisted and some 35,000 visitors are expected.
