FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – The brand name Ratio is short for ‘Rational Components Design’. It says all on what this newcomer in bike components is about: a company that aims at having design, rationality, inspiration, and technology reflected in every bike part it produces.
Ratio is a new Italian firm, with a Taiwanese manufacturing facility. The company is celebrating its birth at Eurobike 2010 in Hall A5 at booth 106. Behind Ratio is a partnership between two bike business veterans; Pancrazio Centola and Professor John Lin, founder of Mekkem Industrial Inc. This company is a specialist in carbon fiber components like front forks, stems, seat posts and water bottle cages.
More details on the Ratio components range to be presented in Friedrichshafen are not at hand at this moment. That’s to be discovered in Hall A5, stand 106. The only statement Ratio makes on its birth is: “Top components, cute accessories and innovative solutions will enter the market right after the fall shows.”
