PADUA, Italy – With 350 exhibitors and 35,000 visitors ExpoBici’s 3rd edition last September was the biggest ever. However, the 4th edition, taking place from 24 to 26 September 2011, will be even bigger.
According to ExpoBici organizer Paolo Coin – General Director of PadovaFiere – the year has only just begun, but the number of companies confirming their participation is multiplying. “In solid terms, ExpoBici’s great wave of success currently counts one sold-out hall and a second one following closely behind. Our objective for 2011 is at this point to fill 6 halls.”
All the spotlights will be focused on the presentation of new products for 2012. This year’s ExpoBici will be the only Italian showcase bringing together at a single exhibition event the major innovations to be put on the market the following year.
With the intent of giving greater importance to innovation in the bicycle sector, in 2011 the Bicitech Innovation Award will become “Expo – Bicitech Innovation Award”: a jury of sector experts, coming from the world of research, production, design and communication, will be judging the new 2012 products introduced by companies in the categories: MTB, road, urban, components and accessories.
The popular bike test area will be back this year. Exhibiting companies will be able to give visitors and retailers the opportunity to try the new 2012 models.
