Trek Changes Format of Eurobike Alternative Trek World
DÜBENDORF, Switzerland – Trek is changing the format of Trek World that for the first took place in Europe last year. All European Trek dealers were invited to Trek World 2013 in Frankfurt which was presented by Trek President John Burke as much more effective as having a booth at Eurobike.
One year later Trek is changing the format of Trek World. Instead of assembling all European dealers at one show Trek World is getting a more local approach. This year Trek invites all dealers from German-speaking countries to Ulm. Here Trek World 2014 will take place from 21 to 29 July.
Presentations suited to the market
By the way, these dates clash with those for ISPO Bike in Munich, Germany which is taking place from July 25 to 28, 2013. According to Trek Fahrrad GmbH marketing manager Hubert Hager: “We will focus Trek World 2014 on our dealers from the German-speaking market. For all other European countries we will have presentations suited to each market.”
Or as Trek Fahrrad GM Harald Schmiedel says: “With the decision to focus Trek World on local markets we can concentrate more on the specific requirements per market. It’s our goal to create a better access to Trek World 2014 to all our dealers. We will have more time and with that it will have a positive effect on our joint business relation.”
At Trek World 2014 dealers from the German-speaking markets will also get a first look on Trek Group’s German Diamant and Swiss Villiger brands and their 2014 line-ups. Next to the presentation dealers will also be able to test ride the 2014 models.
