German Designer Club New Partner for Eurobike Awards
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – The Eurobike Awards election will no longer be organized by iF Design. Messe Friedrichshafen, the organizer of what has become the world’s biggest bike (trade) show is entering a new round for its Eurobike Awards.
In the last eight years that the Eurobike Awards have been organized it has shown great success and ever-increasing growth. The awards for in particular innovative products are very well received and create a lot of attention. Against this background, Messe Friedrichshafen announced that they have entered a new partnership. The German Designer Club will from this year on organize the Eurobike Awards election.
Retain proven concept
The competition, which has established itself as a seal of quality in innovation and design, will continue to be offered and organized by Messe Friedrichshafen. An independent panel of experts under the management of the German Designer Club (GDC) will review and assess the submitted products.
“We will retain the proven concept in its essence but also make improvements,” says Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann. The GDC has been organizing the “Good Design” competition for many years and is now bringing its experience to the Eurobike Award of Messe Friedrichshafen.
Preparation for the Eurobike Awards 2014 and the new organization are in full swing. Conditions for participation will be sent out to the exhibitors end of April 2014. At Eurobike (27 to 30 August 2014), the award ceremony will be held on the first day of the fair.
