Eurobike Award 2014 Open for Registration
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – Show organizer Messe Friedrichshafen invites companies in the bicycle industry to register their new products for the 2014 Eurobike Awards.
This year the Eurobike Awards will see a complete new approach. “The criteria used in selecting the winners of the award were sometimes hard to understand without insight into the jury’s decision-making process,” tells Stefan Reisinger, General Manager of Eurobike at Messe Friedrichshafen.
“We want to respond with a more open and transparent presentation of the award. Less products will receive the award, but they will be presented in a more professional way. We intent to give the award show an informative character and therefore be more practical.”
“The Eurobike Award established itself as a benchmark for quality of design and innovation in the bicycle market,” says Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen. “To understand the award’s relevance, you only have to see for yourself the enormous interest among the Eurobike’s visitors and exhibitors’ enthusiasm. But nothing is so good that it can’t be made even better. And that’s what we want to demonstrate this year in cooperation with the German Disgner Club”.
“The club brings in many years of experience in organizing and presenting the renowned design competitions.” Last year, 496 products from 30 countries competed and the jury awarded a total of 61 products.
On 12 and 13 August the six-member expert jury will select the winners of the Eurobike Award. Companies can register for the following categories:
- Mountain Bikes
- Cross Bikes
- Racing Bikes
- Urban Bikes
- Special bikes
The industry will learn which companies and products have won the award on 27 August 2014 at the official awards ceremony during the Eurobike in Friedrichshafen.
Registration will be closed on 21 July 2014.
