First CosmoBike Show Takes Off Tomorrow
VERONA, Italy – The CosmoBike show premieres this weekend with more than 500 exhibitors from Italy, the Netherlands, United States, Germany, England, Australia and China. “We want to bring back international business to Italy’s industry show,” says VeronaFiere president Ettore Riello.
Spread out over four pavilions covering a total of 40 thousand square meters the VeronaFiere is ready to host the CosmoBike from Friday 11 September till Monday 14 September. Monday, the last day of the exhibition is dedicated to trade only. Tomorrow, Friday 11th, another 30 companies present themselves at the Demo Day in the nearby hills.
Bicycle sales up in Italy
According to the latest ANCMA statistics Italy produced 2.7 million bicycles in 2014, an increase of 2.1% compared to the previous year. ANCMA also reported that bicycle sales were up 6.6% to 1.6 million units in 2014. “This make Italy one of the biggest bicycle manufacturing countries in Europe,” said VeronaFiere CEO Giovanni Mantovani at the press conference on the show yesterday.
“For that reason we invested in CosmoBike to bring back an international trade show to Italy. Our new show concept includes more than 30 seminars and technical workshops with a strong focus on sustainability and environmental advantages of cycling mobility on an national and international level.”
