Last Call For Taipei Cycle d&i Awards 2016
TAIPEI, Taiwan – 18 December is the closing date for registration for the Taipei Cycle d&i awards 2016. Exhibitors as well as non-exhibitors of the Taipei Cycle show are invited to participate in competition.
The award is organized by TAITRA and TBA (Taiwan Bicycle Association) in close cooperation with iF Design Asia Ltd. for the fifth consecutive time. The five most outstanding entries will win the special honour – the Taipei Cycle gold award. This year all award-winning entries will be presented at the Interbike and the Velo-City conference in Taipei, Taiwan.
To encourage good innovation and design from start-ups established after 1 January 2012, the ‘Gold Award – Young Enterprise’ will be handed over for the second time next March.
The Awards Ceremony
On 1 March 2016, all award winners will be officially honoured during the pre-show press conference for Taipei Cycle 2016. All award-winning products will be presented at the tradeshow, as well as in the online exhibitions on Taipei Cycle, the TBA website, the iF World Design Guide and in documentation for award-winning products 2016.
The jury panel includes Cheng-non Hsu (Rikulau International Co., Ltd., Taiwan), Francois Liang (Cycling and Health Tech. Industry R&D Center, Taiwan), Kevin Mayne (European Cyclists’ Federation, Belgium), Adriana Monk (Monk Design, France), Ken O’Rourke (KOR-Design, Taiwan) Markus Storck (Storck Bicycle GmbH, Germany) and Cesare Sun (Gearlab Co. Ltd., Taiwan).
The Velo-city conference in Taipei will take place from 27 February to 1 March 2016 followed by the Taipei Int’l Cycle show from March 2-5.
