Popularity of Cycling Reflected in Danish Bike Show
COPENHAGEN, Denmark – The Danish capital of Copenhagen has become one of the leading cities in cycling mobility. Not surprisingly the Copenhagen Bike Show enjoys a growing popularity as well.
“In just two years, Copenhagen Bike Show has developed into a successful event for both visitors and exhibitors” says show director Christian Ritter. “The 2016 edition which took place from March 11-13 recorded an increase in visitors of 30% to 13,600. Next year we want to increase the number of visitors by attracting more people from outside Copenhagen, for example by offering package tours by bus from Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg. The number of brands and exhibitors rose by 38% and 27% respectively.”
Denmark’s Prime Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, is a cycling enthusiast himself. He attended the event twice this year, Friday and again on Sunday in connection with a charity auction which raised 40,000 Danish kroner.
The 2017 dates for the Copenhagen Bike Show have not been set yet.
