ZEG Pulls Out of Eurobike and Opens Doors of House Show
COLOGNE, Germany – Europe’s largest dealer cooperative ZEG announced it will no longer exhibit its brand Bulls, Hercules and Kettler at Eurobike. In a press release, ZEG states it, “will focus more on its own annual show in Cologne.” Even more important, it will open this in-house exhibition for the first time for customers of its numerous suppliers and partners who are not member of ZEG.
For ZEG CEO Georg Honkomp the main reasons not to take part in Eurobike any longer are, “the decreased proportion of trade visitors and shorter opening hours of the event announced for next year.”
“Increase the importance of our in-house exhibition”
“We also want to grow our increasingly successful in-house exhibition at the Cologne Trade Fair which will see its third edition in July 2017,” explains Honkomp. “By opening the event to non ZEG retailers and customers of our numerous suppliers and partners we have chosen for an all new approach. Our aim is to increase the importance of our in-house exhibition for the industry and create a special product experience.”
What this special product experience includes was not mentioned in the ZEG press statement.
The 2017 ZEG exhibition is scheduled for July 21 – 24, 2017 at the Cologne Trade Fair.
