GIRONA, Spain – The appeal of the European edition of Sea Otter Classic, which is visiting Europe for the first time, has sparked the interest of the cycling industry. According to the show organization, “a large number of exhibition booths have been booked already.”

The ‘Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava-Girona Bike Show’, as it is officially called, is scheduled to take place from June 2 to 4 next year and will take place in and around the Fontajau Pavilion in the Spanish city of Girona.

50,000m² exhibition space

The exhibition and activity area will occupy up to 50,000m². The grounds will feature a paddock format, which will include an area for trials and demonstrations, where brands can offer visitors the opportunity to test their products, and an outlet area. Girona and the Costa Brava are eager to prove that they are an ideal setting for the bike industry to get close to cycling enthusiasts.

Exhibition, testing and racing

The show organization reports that “the Fontajau Pavilion and a part of the outside area will host the bulk of the exhibitions and displays for industry-related products, accessories and services.” The other outdoor areas will accommodate the start and finish lines for the sporting events along the Costa Brava and Girona, international cycling competitions –including the International Biking Point MBT Catalan Cup, the Pirinexus 360 Challenge and the ITT– amateur races, exhibitions and paddocks.

The companies on the exhibitors list include suppliers of clothing and accessories, cycling technology, health and nutrition, urban mobility and even tourist destinations specialising in cyclotourism. The show organization offers a 20% discount on all bookings of exhibition space concluded before December 31.
