Meeting on Industry’s Next Big Thing: Connected Cyclists
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – The European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), and the ADFC (German Cyclists’ Federation) will present the 2nd Smarter Cycling Conference at Eurobike. This is the annual meeting for all companies eager to shape the future of cycling. This time it’s on emerging technologies coming together to power connected cycling. The 2017 meeting takes place on August 29th at Eurobike.
Smarter Cycling Conference focusses on exploring the potential of bike-cloud connectivity, digital integration. sensorization, IoT, wearables, mapping, and other digital technologies. Leveraging the collaboration among all sort of accessories – smart watches, connected helmets, clothing and footwear – will allow for the next great leap in the cycling sector: the digitalization of training, performance, navigation, and commuting.
Digitalized cycling future
The “Connected Cyclist” Conference aims at offering bicycle brands, component manufacturers, and related retailers, views on how to hook into the new digitalized cycling future. The next generation of intelligent bikes, and their ever-sophisticated components, will integrate these digital services to deliver the ever-valuable rider experience.
EU’s 3 billion subsidy
One of the keynote speakers of the Smarter Cycling Conference is Oliver Kozak, Senior Advisor at the Executive Agency for Small & Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) at the European Commission. He will present his € 3 billion portfolio of public support and investment available for European SMEs. His presentation is extremely relevant for innovative start-ups at Eurobike.
The Smarter Cycling Conference 2017 takes place at Eurobike/Messe Friedrichshafen’s Conference Center West, Room Österreich on Tuesday 29 August 2017 The Conference starts at 11:00 and runs to 18:00. The Conference welcomes senior product management, corporate leadership, cycling start-ups, and founders/CEOs of ‘digital’ SMEs scale-ups. A networking lunch is part of the program.
