Smart Technology Leading at TaiSPO Sporting Equipment Show
TAIPEI, Taiwan – Smart technology addressing the ever-evolving needs of 21st century life is today’s main focus of sports and fitness equipment design. The latest developments will be on display at the TaiSPO trade show next March.
The re-scheduling of the Taipei Cycle Show in 2018 led to a split with TaiSPO; the sporting goods show that used to be held simultaneously. With Taipei Cycle moving its dates to October 31 – November 3, 2018 the TaiSPO show remains in March.
The 5% increase in booth space from last year, which will end up in more than 300 exhibitors, represent a world of fitness fans interacting with Taiwan-made equipment. Looking at the number of booths TaiSPO already benefits from the split with Taipei Cycle. Both events are organized by TAITRA, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.
Taiwan’s strengths in electronics contributes to the sporting goods industry and that’s why TaiSPO is offering various opportunities like the Innovation’s Stage of Excellence Award & Innovative Design Award. Taiwan suppliers including Johnson Health, Dyaco and High Spot Health Technology can easily adopt to the country’s global edge hi-tech and electronics.
One of the most anticipated novelties at the show is the IoT/Wearables Zone, which will be displaying wearable training devices, and the Training Programs Zone for personal training classes.
TaiSPO will include several business happenings during the exhibition. This includes a fitness industry and management forum, marathon and sports marketing forum, and one-on-one procurement meetings.
The 2018 edition of TaiSPO is scheduled for March 8-10 at its usual venue, the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Hall 1 & 3.
