ZEG Renews Cooperation with Eurobike for Long-Term
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – After two years of not participating in the Eurobike show Europe’s biggest dealer cooperative ‘Zweirad-Einkaufs-Genossenschaft, ZEG’ announces to be back next year and also in the years thereafter. With that ZEG’s wholly owned brand names like Bulls, Hercules, Kettler Alu-Rad and Flyer are returning. Georg Honkomp, MD of ZEG commented “Eurobike is the most important international trade show platform, and is absolutely necessary as a global forum for our industry.”
In a press release on the return of ZEG, Eurobike organizer Messe Friedrichshafen underlines its delight with ZEG’s decision by calling the cooperative’s return to Eurobike as “A momentous homecoming.” What has contributed even more to the satisfaction of the show organizer is the fact that agreements have been made between Messe Friedrichshafen and the ZEG for a long-term participation in the fair. ZEG is not only returning at the show’s 28th edition, which takes place from September 4 to 7, 2019, but has committed its participation for three years; extending its Eurobike participation into 2021.
ZEG’s managing director Georg Honkomp says on the renewed long term cooperation with the Friedrichshafen show “Eurobike is the most important international trade show platform, and is absolutely necessary as a global forum for our industry. In our new collaboration with Messe Friedrichshafen, we see an outstanding opportunity to further stimulate enthusiasm for environmentally sustainable mobility, and look forward to face-to-face contacts with specialist dealers as well as the broader public. With the extensive product portfolio of our bike brands, we’re expecting to attract great interest not only from existing ZEG members, but also from new dealers both domestically and internationally.”
‘Consolidating Eurobike’s importance’
Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann says on ZEG’s long-term commitment to Eurobike “As a federation of some 960 independent bike dealers, the ZEG enjoys a very strong position in the key German market, not only in terms of distribution, but also purchasing. With this, we’re consolidating Eurobike’s importance as the undisputed premier trade show while enhancing the outstanding product experience for everyone involved.”
As said the next Eurobike will take place at 4 to 7 September, 2019. The show starts with three days exclusively targeted to trade and industry interactions followed with a Festival day for cycling enthusiasts on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
