Taipei Cycle Shows Cycling Beyond 2020

TAIPEI, Taiwan – ‘What is driving the innovation in the cycling industry in the age of the Internet of Things (IoT)’ will be one of the main topics of this year’s Taipei Cycle Show. The event will take place from 30 October – 3 November.

The Taipei Cycle Show has been the destination for the ultimate fusion of global cycling expertise, bringing together designers, entrepreneurs, manufacturers and advocates, with policy-makers, scientists and innovators. ‘Taipei’ offers brand owners, buyers, distributors and industry experts a broad range of opportunities to meet their peers, network with clients, discover emerging markets and explore the industry insights and trends of the future.

IoT zone

“This year’s Taipei Cycle will include the IoT Zone with experts showcasing the latest in technology, cloud systems and more,” explains Taipei Cycle PR Manager Jasmine Wu. “The Start-up Pavilion will debut this year providing a forum for companies established since January 2013 to present their innovations. The Demo-Day which took place for the first time in 2017, will take place on 30 October offering visitors the opportunity to experience many award-winning new technologies.” The Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) pavilion will include presentations of system, service and solution providers, as well as e-bike manufacturers.

Big data and smart cycling applications

Other themes at the show will be: the evolution of big data and applications to smart cycling, smart cities and incorporating smart technologies. The topics on display will show the latest developments from monitoring conditions in real time; to anticipating riders’ actions; through the sharing economy and the expansion of e-biking. Obviously, Taipei Cycle Show will also present the latest on factory automation and robotics, technology and innovation.
