ROTTERDAM, the Netherlands – Participating in the World Cycling Forum is still possible as there are a limited number of seats left and available. This 2-day International Conference, taking place on June 4 and 5, is all about the industry’s future. That future will be dominated by sustainability issues and the fight against climate change in which cycling can play a vital role.

“Putting Bicycle Industry at Core of Sustainable Development” is the topic of the 2ndWorld Cycling Forum organized by the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) and Bike Europe.

Industry’s sustainability potential

The Conference addresses the sweeping ramifications of climate change and the role cycling can play in the efforts to limit global temperature increase and greenhouse gas emissions. On how the industry is to meet its full sustainability potential, the World Cycling Forum features a series of experts that will focus on issues such as: future mobility, future manufacturing landscape; innovative materials & practices; sustainable processes & technologies. Furthermore, the agenda includes Q&A sessions with the speakers, workshops, panel discussions as well as ample networking opportunities during the breaks.

Unique and inspiring location

Coffee breaks, joint lunches are on the program for the two days. In addition, after the program of the first day a cocktail party is scheduled. A very special event is taking place in the evening of the first day. This is the informal BBQ dinner on the Lido Terrace Deck of the former cruise liner SS Rotterdam; the maritime conference location of the 2019 World Cycling Forum. This floating venue is a unique and inspiring location. The cruise liner has been converted into a modern conference center and hotel with excellent accessibility for up to 3500 guests with 12 event rooms, 29 meeting rooms, 254 hotel rooms, 580 parking spaces and several restaurants and bars.
