The fully operational factory, commissioned in 2024, is being sold through insolvency proceedings, with the first auction scheduled for 30 July 2026. According to the receiver, the factory remains operational under security and production could restart immediately.
Built for high-volume e-bike production
The site comprises almost 23,800sqm of production, warehouse and administrative space on a 47,000sqm plot of land. Included in the sale are the factory's complete production equipment and warehouse facilities. The site has an annual production capacity of up to 250,000 e-bikes and storage space for approximately 20,000 finished bicycles.
The factory includes nine assembly lines, eight pre-assembly workshops, wheel assembly facilities, a Gema powder coating plant with a capacity of up to 1,200 bicycles per day, quality control laboratories and dedicated testing facilities. Equipment also includes an e-bike compatibility testing system and a complete bicycle road testing machine meeting TÜV testing requirements for applications such as EN 15194 certification and long-term durability testing.
The facility is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and BSCI standards.

Strategic location for European manufacturing
Located in the Kuklen Industrial Zone near Plovdiv, the factory benefits from direct access to the Trakia Motorway, major rail connections and Plovdiv Airport. Its location provides efficient transport links to the main Trans-European transport corridors serving Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The site was developed between 2022 and 2024 as part of Leader 96's investment programme to expand its e-bike manufacturing capacity.
Immediate restart potential
According to the insolvency receiver, the factory's production processes can be restarted immediately, with much of the experienced workforce available for re-employment. The buyer will also assume the benefit of active warranty obligations covering both the building and part of the installed production equipment.
Under Bulgarian insolvency law, the transaction will be completed through a court-issued adjudication order, providing the successful bidder with legal ownership of the assets.
The first auction is scheduled for 30 July 2026 with a starting price of €21.78 million. Individual site inspections are available by appointment and are conducted by the insolvency receiver together with members of the technical team. The terms of the auction have been published on the official website of the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice.
