Jagwire has long been associated with the parts that keep bicycles braking and shifting correctly: cables, housing, hydraulic hoses, brake pads and the small components connecting them. “Our latest additions build on that foundation while taking a broader approach,” says Alex Berger, European brand manager at Jagwire. “Rather than treating each component in isolation, we are increasingly developing braking systems and workshop solutions around three priorities: precision, system compatibility and practical serviceability.”
For dealers and workshops, that matters. Modern bikes combine integrated cockpits, internal routing, multiple hydraulic brake standards and increasingly sophisticated braking components. Products therefore have to perform on the bike while also making sense behind the workshop counter. Berger tells us more about the five new products.
1. Pro LR3: The next generation of rotors
“At the performance end of the range is the new Pro LR3 Disc Brake Rotor,” explains Berger. “Its premium two-piece construction combines a stainless-steel braking track with an aluminum spider to balance braking performance, stiffness and weight.”
Compared with the previous-generation rotor, Jagwire reports 10% more braking power and 15% greater resistance to warping under load. A particularly useful detail for workshops is the integrated ‘J’ wear indicator, allowing mechanics and riders to identify rotor wear more easily during inspection. LR3 is compatible with organic/resin, metallic and semi-metallic pads and is offered in five diameters from 140 to 220mm for both six-bolt and Center Lock applications.
2. Pro Hydraulic Hose: Designed for the internal-routing era
Internal cable and hose routing has changed the demands placed on hydraulic hoses. According to Berger, the new Pro Hydraulic Hose with HAP technology addresses both installation and brake feel.
The new construction is claimed to deliver 40% greater flexibility and 50% lower routing resistance compared with premium-brand competition, helping the hose pass more easily through tight head tubes, integrated handlebars and complex internal paths. At the same time, Jagwire reports an 18% improvement in braking responsiveness compared with its previous HFK hose, resulting from reduced expansion under pressure.
Berger adds: “The hose supports both mineral oil and DOT brake fluids, simplifying the product range required to service different brake platforms. It is available in eight colors, while retail kits and 30-metre workshop rolls provide options for both aftermarket sales and professional service environments.”
3. Pro Connect Adapter Kits: More systems, less inventory
Complementing the new hose is the Pro Connect Adapter Kit concept. Instead of requiring a complete dedicated hose kit for every brake system, workshops can combine the Jagwire Pro Connect hose with the appropriate system-specific fittings.
Adapter kits cover modern brakes from Shimano, SRAM, Avid, Magura, Hayes, Tektro and TRP, enabling dealers to support a broad range of bicycles from one hose platform. Stainless-steel banjo fittings add corrosion resistance and durability, while an updated fittings assortment gives workshops the option to keep the relevant small parts organised in one system.
“For the trade, the benefit is straightforward: broader compatibility without having to stock multiple complete hose families for different brake brands,” says Berger.
4. Elite Internal Routing Tool: Reducing workshop frustration
As integration increases, routing cables, housing, hydraulic hose and electronic wires through frames has become one of the more time-consuming workshop tasks. According to Berger, the new Elite Internal Routing Tool Kit is designed specifically around that challenge,.
It combines a 400mm flexible magnet, 2000mm magnetic lead wire, primary magnet, slim retrieval hook and multiple component-specific adapters. “Together they allow mechanics to work through tight frame ports, integrated handlebars and internally routed headset designs while covering mechanical cables, housing, hydraulic hose and common electronic wires,” Berger further explains. “The objective is simple: spend less workshop time chasing lines through frames and more time completing the installation correctly.”
5. Sport Mineral Oil Bleed Kit: Visibility where it matters
The fifth introduction targets another everyday workshop operation. “Our Sport Mineral Oil Bleed Kit has been developed for Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with a focus on visibility, secure connections and durability,” mentions Berger.
“Its transparent high-density polymer bleed cup makes even air bubbles as small as 0.5mm visible, while a reinforced syringe fitting offers a claimed 35% increase in retention strength under high-pressure bleeding compared with conventional fittings. The cup fits Shimano MTB levers directly, with an adapter included for Shimano Road hydraulic levers.”
One portfolio, one direction
Together, the five introductions show where Jagwire is heading. The new Pro Rotor addresses braking performance; the Pro Hydraulic Hose and Pro Connect system improve hydraulic service and compatibility; and the two new workshop tools tackle installation and maintenance.
