REDDITCH, UK - In last week's trading update Halfords Group Plc announced that its cycling sales fell 11% in the eight-weeks that ended August 28, 2015. Halfords UK blames the rainy weather that spurred increased levels of discounting. However, the country's retail association ACT reported that dealer sales grew by 26% during July and August.

PARIS, France - Paris will ban motorized vehicles from the roads for the day on 27 September as an experiment in its efforts to reduce carbon emissions. The city will implement the 'Une Journée Sans Voiture' (A Day Without a Car) to coincide with European Mobility Week and a United Nations climate change summit, both of which will also be in Paris.
