TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwan's e-bike exports soared in volume and in value during the first nine months of this year. Export volume upped by 48 percent and reached nearly 200,000 units. Money-wise Taiwan electric bicycle exports grew with 52 percent to USD 269 million.

HELSINKI, Finland - It started with Amer Sports' announcement that it wants to sell its activities in the cycling market with Mavic and Enve on 5 September. Now it looks like the entire Finnish holding will be sold to the Chinese companies ANTA Sports Products and FountainVest Partners.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Already in 2017 the EU imports of regular bicycles from China showed a huge increase; by 54 percent to 635,000 units. Eurostat import data for the first half of 2018 shows that this vast growth continued.
