Italian Oli eBike Systems proves the opposite, although the company keeps close ties with its Chinese owner, Wolong. The company was founded in 2015 and rolled out an ambitious growth strategy and shifted its focus towards the Northern European market.
Germany/the Netherlands - What is the market outlook for 2026? This question was on everybody's lips at the Taichung Bike Week which took place from 16-19 September. After three years of predicting that next year would be better, industry peers have become cautious in providing any forecasts. EINDHOVEN, the Netherlands - Shimano announces that Marc van Rooij, president of the Shimano Europe Group, will leave the company by the end of 2025. Van Rooij has worked at Shimano for over 34 years in various management positions, including Shimano Benelux, Shimano Europe and Shimano Europe Holding. He has been president of the Shimano Europe Group since 2009.

HONGKONG - Folding bike specialist Dahon Tech (02543.HK) officially debuted on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today. It even garnered the attention of the Hong Kong capital market as a 'Star Stock' of 2025. On its first day of trading, Dahon Tech opened at 67.5 RMB (€ 8.07), a 36.4% increase from its listing price of 49.5 RMB (€ 5.92). The high and low reached 69 RMB (€ 8.25) and 56.4 RMB (€ 6.74), respectively, before closing at 60 RMB (€ 7.17). Half-day trading volume was 6.7537 million shares, totalling 455 million RMB (€ 54.4 million).
NIJMEGEN, the Netherlands - Ebike4Delivery invests €15 million to seize control of production of its delivery e-bikes in the Netherlands. With this in-house production, Ebike4Delivery aims to increase quality and gain greater control over the entire process.
SCHRAMBERG, Germany - The market shows initial signs of a measured rebound, though the improvement still has yet to extend across the entire supply chain. The manufacturer of e-bike drive components, hGears reports that, "the sales volume of e-bikes in Europe during the first half of 2025 is estimated to be roughly on par with the previous year, but European e-bike production has not recovered as expected."
BERLIN, Germany - E-bikes are the spearhead of electromobility in Europe. Over the past 10 years, e-bikes have fundamentally transformed the European mobility market. At the same time, stakeholders have become more diverse. The German research institute zNT assessed the discussion on the regulatory framework for e-bikes and concluded: if you want to change the regulations, you must not only provide technical arguments, but also prove that what has been achieved will not be jeopardised.
BERLIN, Germany - Brose SE has completed the transfer of its e-bike drive business to Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. For the Japanese company, this acquisition is part of its efforts to establish a strong position for competitiveness and achieve the business growth outlined in its management plan. Yamaha paid approximately €30.6 million in cash for the e-bike operation.
