STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Swedish battery developer and manufacturer, Northvolt has marked a new chapter in European history with the first cell to have been fully designed, developed and assembled at a gigafactory by a homegrown European battery company. WELS, Austria - Pierer Mobility, whose two-wheeled portfolio includes Felt Bicycles, GasGas and Husqvarna e-bikes but also KTM Motorbikes, has reported record sales for 2021. In a successful year for the bicycle division, e-bike sales were up 37% and traditional bicycle sales reached a 40% year-on-year increase.

MONTREAL, Canada - Dorel Industries has completed the sale of Dorel Sports, its bicycle segment, to the Dutch mobility group, Pon Holdings. For the sale price of US $810 million, Pon now has brands including Cannondale, Schwinn, GT, Caloi and Mongoose in its hands.

SUZHOU, China - During this year's Eurobike, e-bike drive system manufacturer, Vinka debuted its latest hub drive system, the Auto VA+. The hub-motor can be applied to a range of e-bike models, including urban e-bikes and has additional features including automatic assist.
