AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands - Dutch e-bike brand VanMoof has introduced a removable powerbank that gives riders up to 100 km extra range on their VanMoof S3 or X3. Charging from 0-100% in three hours, and weighing 2.8 kg, it is now available to order and ships in June 2021.

Bonnie & Clyde, an updated version of the succesful Master, "has been built to be the most compact quality IoT module on the market". The product is also said to be easier to integrate on a wider range of e-bikes.
SUZHOU, China - Bafang, has received the UKCA certificate from TÜV SUD, an international third-party testing, inspection and certification institution for its M200 central motor drive system. It is the first certificate presented to the Chinese e-bike industry and indicates that the product conforms to the latest market access requirements of the UK.
CASSELLA D'ASOLO, Italy - Selle Italia is forecasting a 40% growth in the coming years as the market adapts to close to market sourcing. The saddle manufacturer has also introduced a new production process named Green-Tech. Developed by its Chairman Giuseppe Bigolin, this allows "the manufacture of low environmental impact, eco-friendly products that are quick to produce at competitive prices".

LEUVEN, Belgium— REIN4CED, the Belgian manufacturer of advanced composite bicycle frames, has successfully closed a series B capital increase of €7 million led by Capricorn Partners. This new capital injection will support the company's ambitious growth trajectory "to become the leading supplier of lightweight, strong and durable materials to the bicycle, automotive and aerospace market".

NANJING, CHINA - With an annual revenue of €25.6 million last year, Nanjing Lishui, has increased its production capacity to around 1-1.5 million e-bike controller units in recent years. Despite the booming bike market since the pandemic, the company is experiencing a lot of negative uncertainty, but this isn't holding back the European expansion ambitions. "Nanjing Lishui will swim with the tide and pursue advancement to face the 'new normal' with complexity and uncertainty," confirms director Hsu.
