    Polestar steps up from e-cars to e-bikes

    GÖTENBORG, Sweden - The Swedish car manufacturer Polestar is the next to step into the rapidly growing e-bike market. This announcement by Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath didn't come as a surprise as the company has been cooperating with Allebike on a regular bicycle since earlier this year.

    Cowboy achieves B Corp certification and relaunches 'circular' e-bikes

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - Urban e-bike brand Cowboy has achieved B Corp status, one of the first e-bike brands to do so. The brand controls the sustainability of its supply chain, packaging and the recycling of its bike components. To coincide with B Corp, Cowboy has also relaunched its Circular scheme where e-bikes are refurbished by in-house mechanics and given a second life.

    Elastic Interface owner Cytech takes over Pasasport

    SAN VENDEMIANO, Italy - Cytech, who manufactures pads and palms for cycling apparel under the Elastic Interface brand has acquired a majority stake in Italian accessory and glove manufacturer, Pasasport. "The take-over allows us to accelerate the expansion of Elastic Interface into new markets and diversify our product offering in the cycling sector and across other sports," explains Cytech CEO Massimo Fregonese.

This is not about bicycle recalls but a selection of recent automotive safety issues that were categorized as 'serious risk' and therefore led to a product recall. It doesn't take much of an imagination to realise what can happen if your car loses a wheel, can't brake or doesn't have a properly working seatbelt while driving.

    UK lowers anti-dumping tariffs for two Chinese e-bike manufacturers

    LONDON, UK - For the imports of two Chinese e-bike manufacturers, the UK government has imposed an anti-dumping tariff rate of only 16.2%, as opposed to the standard 62.1%, the UK's Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has announced. The reduced tariff will refer to e-bikes entering the UK.
