    Marwi Group ramps up parts production in Taiwan with 'smart factory'

    TAICHUNG, Taiwan - Bicycle parts supplier Marwi Taiwan Industrial Co., Ltd., known as Marwi Group, started production at its new 'smart' production facility late last year. Since then, production has been gradually ramped up. At Eurobike, Marwi founder and chairman Patrick Pai and his daughter, Marwi president Coco Pai told Bike Europe that fully automated production at the facility will start by the end of this year.

    French government to re-develop national bicycle industry

    PARIS, France - It is hard to imagine, but up until the 1980's, France had a flourishing bicycle industry. The country was hit hard by the production relocation to low wage countries since the 1990's. The French government now wants to turn the tide. It has launched a series of initiatives to put the e-bike and bicycle industry back on the map.

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - In a joint statement CONEBI, CIE and ECF welcomed the recommendations made in the study on the e-bike and e-cargo bike sector. TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) carried out the study on behalf of the European Commission on the safety of Personal Mobility Devices (PMD).

    Women in Cycling platform aims for inclusive and diverse cycling industry

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - Women in Cycling is a new initiative being launched by a coalition of industry organisations and NGOs which aims to help women to get more visibility, impact and leading roles in the cycling sector.
