MILAN, Italy - Tyre manufacturer Pirelli is carrying out a voluntary recall of some bicycle tyres of the type P Zero Race TLR, size 28-622. The recall refers to tyres produced between the tenth and 24th week of 2023 and is due to problems of compatibility of the tyre with some wheel rims.

LUDHIANA, India - Hartex Rubber has opened a new bicycle tube plant at its Ludhiana site, creating an additional daily capacity of 25,000 tubes. "The new tube unit, at an investment of INR 150 million (€1.8 million) has been set up to cater entirely for the export market," explains Varun Sureka, Director, Hartex Rubber.

AMERSFOORT, the Netherlands - The largest bicycle dealer cooperative in the Netherlands, Dynamo Retail Group has reported strong sales figures this year. While bicycle sales dropped by double digits last year, Dynamo Retail Group saw a hike of 12.1% between January and July this year.

HELSINKI, Finland - Vapaus Bikes Finland Oy, has secured a €15 million loan to drive growth and international expansion in the employee benefit bikes sector. Besides scaling up in Finland and Sweden, further internationalisation is being considered. Boasting a mature and scalable business model, the mobility service provider has seen its net revenues rise from €4.5 million in 2021 to over €30 million in 2023.
