SAMUT PRAKAN, Thailand - Bicycle manufacturer Raja Cycle Co., Ltd. is located in Thailand's second largest city, Samut Prakan, 35 kilometres southeast of Bangkok. Next to its export business, which mostly rolls towards Europe, the Thai assembler is using its capacity also for its own Optima and Meadow brands. Up to now Optima and Meadow are only offered on the company's home and neighbouring ASEAN markets.

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany - The annual Eurobike Award will deploy a mix of analogue and digital tools this year, the show organisers have announced. The award process has been adapted in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has also seen the physical show date of Eurobike move to November. The digital award ceremony and start-up pitch will now take place on 2nd September a couple of months prior to the physical event.

BERLIN, Germany - The re-opening of bicycle shops in Germany as announced last night by the federal and state government comes as a big relief for the bicycle industry. As Europe's largest e-bike and bicycle market the restart of retail will be an important indication on how sales will develop when shops will be allowed to open after the Corona crisis in other European countries.

SAINT-JEAN-DE-MOIRANS, France - The French Rossignol Group, owner of Rossignol, Time Sport and Felt, announced a few weeks ago, the opening of a procedure regarding the future of Time Sport. This procedure concerns the carbon frames production and assembling site in Gajary, Slovakia, and the brand's headquarter in Saint-Jean-de-Moirans, France, where the design and marketing departments are located. The group's decision does not include the pedals and shoes activities. 

TAIPEI, Taiwan - This morning Taipei Cycle Show organiser TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) announces the cancellation of the new Taipei Cycle+ and TaiSPO+ events that were scheduled for 14 to 16 May.

STUTTGART, Germany - The multichannel bicycle and outdoor retailer Internetstores GmbH again reports expanding sales to 373 million euro in 2019. Including 2019, Internetstores claims an average growth rate of over 30 percent per year from 2017 onwards.

LUDHIANA, India - An all-new factory has been built in the past month by Road Master Cycles in the city of Ludhiana. According to a recent announcement it will be used for the company's aluminium and steel frame production, on machinery imported from Germany and Taiwan, which will be installed in the next quarter.
