MADRID, Spain - The mismatch between supply and demand has hit the Spanish bicycle industry very hard. Significant stockpiling has been taking place at both distributors and stores. This situation has not been balanced out yet as the 2023 market statistics show. Still, the Spanish industry association AMBE who presented the market data is still confident about the future market. AMBE also noted that 2024 will still be a difficult year for the industry.

MILAN, Italy - The 2023 bicycle market in Italy closed with a 23% year-on-year decline in sales volume. Italy's bicycle industry association ANCMA reported a distribution of just over 1.3 million bicycles and e-bikes combined, generating a turnover of € 2.6 billion, a decrease of 18% compared to 2022.

KORTRIJK, Belgium - Electric bicycle sales in Belgium grew to a market share of 51.2% in 2023 according to industry organisation Traxio. The estimate sales figures which were reported during the Velofollies tradeshow last week, show that the Belgian market is levelling out following the spike during the corona years.

For years he was top of mind for lots of executives in the European bike sector as well as the ones in Asia. In particular as he was leading this effective trade block for over thirty years.

HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands - Against the background of a European bike market which Accell Group's CEO René Takens characterizes as slightly increasing in 2015, the holding company for numerous bike companies recorded continued growth. In the third quarter of this year Accell grew in virtually all countries and booked a higher result. E-MTBs in particular contributed to the strong results.
