    Amprio confirms take-over by SRAM

    SCHWEINFURT, Germany - SRAM's activities in the e-bike category have entered a new stage now the German e-bike drive systems supplier Amprio is connected to the American bicycle component manufacturer.

    Amprio gets parent company service support for drivetrain launch

    NECKARSULM, Germany - At last year's Eurobike, Amprio GmbH's head of drive unit development, Dietmar Greven, stated that the 2016-founded start-up intends to start series production of its own pedelec drivetrain system called "E-Track System" in mid 2021. Meaning that Amprio drivetrains with individual control unit (HMI) and rechargeable battery will first buzz onto the market in 2022. Backed by its parent company Rheinmetall Group the newcomer can now also rely on a comprehensive and customer-oriented logistics and service concept.
