    Swapfiets reports significantly reduced losses in 2024

    AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - Despite still being in the negative, Swapfiets has reported significantly reduced losses last year. The Amsterdam-based company, and subsidiary of Pon Holdings, recorded a net loss of €14.2 million in 2024 — 14% less than the previous year.

    Swapfiets future-proofing its bicycle fleet with circular components

    AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands - Bike subscription service Swapfiets, will celebrate its ten-year anniversary on November 7. Under the guidance of Pon Holding's investment company Ponooc since 2018, the company has grown to have over 270,000 members across Europe. Although, still striving for profitability, the B Corp-certified scale-up is working hard towards creating a 100% circular bicycle.

    Pon-owned Swapfiets reports multi-million euro losses

    ZEIST, Netherlands - The blue-tyred bicycle subscription service Swapfiets has been struggling in recent years. After a loss of €14 million in 2020 and €29 million in 2021, this increased to €31 million last year, the latest financial records show. Despite these losses, investor Pon continues to support the concept which had anticipated on growth across Europe.

    Pon brand Swapfiets awarded B-Corp status for its sustainability efforts

    AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - Swapfiets, the Pon owned bicycle concept known for its recognisable blue front-tyred rental bikes and e-bikes, has been awarded the international sustainability label B Corp. With the certification, they now join the impressive list of sustainability pioneers such as Patagonia, Tony's Chocolonely and KeepCup.

    TALLINN, Estonia - To reduce the number of missing e-bikes and gain insight into product performance, bike-subscription company Swapfiets has started using Comodule's IoT solution. Known for their blue front tyre, Swapfiets claims some 260,000 members across nine countries and 60 cities in Europe.
