    Free trade agreements Malaysia and Thailand: Towards a new bicycle trade era?

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finalising the trade agreements currently under negotiation is one of the tasks of the next Trade Commissioner, Maros Sefcovic. The agreements with Malaysia and Thailand will certainly be part of that commitment. The best-known company in the bicycle industry based in Thailand is Vittoria while Malaysia is the home of Shimano's supplier Kwang Li Industry.

    Vittoria moves A Dugast production from the Netherlands to Thailand

    BREMBATE, Italy - Only one and a half years after the opening of an all-new facility in Oldenzaal, the Netherlands, Vittoria has announced the relocation of A Dugast cyclocross series production to its factory in Bangkok, Thailand.

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - The announced reopening of the negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA) between the European Union and Thailand aims to advance swiftly in the talks and to hold a first round of discussion in the coming months.     Vittoria invests millions in European operations

    BREMBATE, Italy - Vittoria has invested €10 million to extend its European operations in Northern Italy. The company will double its European warehouse capacity to support the market expansion in the coming years, as part of a wider program to increase the output of the Vittoria manufacturing facilities in Thailand.

    Raja Cycle pushes own brand alongside OEM-business

    SAMUT PRAKAN, Thailand - Bicycle manufacturer Raja Cycle Co., Ltd. is located in Thailand's second largest city, Samut Prakan, 35 kilometres southeast of Bangkok. Next to its export business, which mostly rolls towards Europe, the Thai assembler is using its capacity also for its own Optima and Meadow brands. Up to now Optima and Meadow are only offered on the company's home and neighbouring ASEAN markets.
