    FRANKFURT, Germany - The e-bike industry is entering uncharted territory. In 2025, brands are no longer just selling e-bikes, they are selling access. The practice of applying after-market subscription fees for premium features or creating tiered pricing structures for e-bikes based on software differentiation has been heralded as innovative by some, and exploitative by others.

    Accell Group confirms VanMoof founders' involvement in new Raleigh e-bike

    NOTTINGHAM, UK - Accell Group's Raleigh brand has debuted the Raleigh One, a new e-bike that represents the brand's shift to a "striking new visual identity." The bike's sleek geometric lines and integrated tech features reflect the brand's desire to move into a more "urban, design-led" approach to mobility. It also reflects something else: The subtle but distinct touch of VanMoof's founders and former CEOs, Ties and Taco Carlier. What was previously speculation in the industry has now been confirmed by Ertu Bilgin, Accell Group's brand lead.

VanMoof's new owner McLaren Applied subsidiary Lavoie, didn't give itself much time to study the best possible business model.
