比利時，布魯塞爾-可能解除電動自行車之馬達動力限制的決議預料在2012年7月3日前不會有結果。一讀協議前的準備工作都已完成。根據歐洲零售商協會ETRA秘書長Annick Roetynck表示，此協定將確保歐洲理事會立即接受歐洲議會所作的決議。

英國，雷迪奇-Halfords UK 在其2012年財政年度報告中指出，該公司自行車與配件的銷售持續有好消息。此英國最大自行車零售商表示其2012財政年度收益成長了5.7%。在 2012年3月前的13週的營收則成長了8.7%。集團整體同比銷售額（包括有動力的產品）則衰退2.7%。

澳洲，墨爾本-產業研究公司IBISWorld 更新其對澳洲自行車產業的報告指出，近幾年騎自行車的人數增加許多。然而，2011-12跟過去五年相比，在自行車的銷售、製造、修理與服務的提供方面表現差勁。
